"Young gardeners for mutual

 understanding"

PRIMARY SCHOOL NAMED AFTER MARSHALL JOZEF PILSUDSKI IN HORYNIEC_ZDROJ

There’s an old proverb: One who plants a garden, plants happiness.
If you would be happy all your life, plant a garden

Starting School Gardens
School gardens can provide an environment in which students can learn to work with teachers, parents and neighborhood resident volunteers while growing plants and learning the relationship between people, plants and wildlife. School gardens are an excellent way to teach children about the food they eat. Children have the opportunity to grow fruits and vegetables and later prepare and eat the food they grow.

So within the project: “ Young gardeners for mutual understanding” we’ll have a unique opportunity to create the international garden near our school.

First we received seeds of carrot, mint and primrose from Writtle County Junior School, then seeds of radish, basilica, Miss Willmott from Ecole Jean Jaurès, seeds of tomato, sterlizia, coriander from  C.E.I.P. Roque Aguayro and seeds of cucumber, dill, dahlia from  Начално училище Свети Софроний Врачански “,seeds of lettuce, basilica and ranunculus Asiatic from S.M.S. “GAIO CECILIO SECONDO”. At the time the seeds arrived  in our school, it was cold outside, the ground was covered with snow  and weather conditions weren’t suitable for sowing  the seeds.  But in February 2009 the pupils with the help and strict control of  the teacher Mrs. Krystyna Urban, who  also runs the club “Young lovers of nature”  put some of the seeds into the special pots with the compost. Now we’re waiting eagerly  for the spring when sun will heat the ground, nature will wake up,  and we can plant the seedlings and the rest of seeds in our school garden.
